The goal of this project was to create a Starbucks bag representing the coffee
as
well as the culture of a country of one of Starbucks' major coffee exporters.
I chose Coffees of Gutamala. During my research I learned about the ancient Mayans who lived in what is now Guatamala. My concept was to combine a
statue figure that was originally rising out of a cauldron with steam rising out of a stoneware mug. I set the whole thing on a background of stone texture as a nod
to the stone statues, monuments and temples that are such a remarkable part of
the Guatamalan
history and culture.
